ANAHEIM, Calif., June 28 (Our Los Angeles) — Disneyland Resort’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure reopened after state workplace safety inspectors reviewed the ride following an incident in which a 13-year-old guest exited a vehicle and slid down the attraction’s final drop, Disneyland officials said.
Disneyland officials said cast members stopped the ride immediately after the boy got out of the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital for precautionary evaluation and later released, according to the resort.
The incident happened Sunday, June 21, at the log-flume attraction in Anaheim. Disneyland officials said the ride stayed closed for the rest of the day and later resumed operation after an inspection by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, known as Cal/OSHA.
NBC News reported Cal/OSHA spokesperson Katherine Wzorek said investigators “did not find any operational issues.”
