What is Better Buzz Coffee planning in Apple Valley?

APPLE VALLEY, Calif., July 9 (High Desert News Online) — Better Buzz Coffee is preparing to open a new café at 19398 Bear Valley Rd. in Apple Valley, according to a job posting on the company’s careers page. The listing says the store is a “brand new location” and expects it to open in June 2026.

The posting is the clearest public sign that the coffee chain is expanding into Apple Valley. It is also a business indicator for the local market: a new café can mean new hiring, more customer traffic and another branded competitor in the area’s coffee market.

What does the company’s posting tell us?

The Better Buzz Coffee job listing is seeking baristas for the Apple Valley site and directs applicants to the company’s website and human resources email address. The address listed is in Apple Valley, California, and the expected opening month is June 2026.

Better Buzz Coffee also maintains a “Coming Soon” page on its website that lists other future or developing locations, including Tempe, Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, Vista and Oceanside. That suggests the Apple Valley store is part of a broader expansion plan rather than a one-off project.

Is the Apple Valley site confirmed to be a former Sonic Drive-In?

Not by the sources reviewed here.

The company’s careers post confirms the Apple Valley address and expected opening window, but it does not identify the previous tenant for the building. The material reviewed does not show a city filing, permit record or company statement saying the site was a Sonic Drive-In.

Why does the location matter for Apple Valley?

For local customers, a Better Buzz Coffee opening would add another coffee option in the Bear Valley Road corridor.

For workers, the company’s hiring page suggests jobs are already being recruited ahead of the opening. For nearby businesses, a new café can increase daytime foot traffic and add competition for breakfast, coffee and grab-and-go sales.

For the company itself, the Apple Valley store appears to be one part of a larger rollout in Southern California and beyond.

What else is Better Buzz doing nearby?

Victor Valley News Group reported that Better Buzz Coffee is also preparing to open its first High Desert location in Hesperia, at 13140 Main Street near Interstate 15, in the former Arby’s building next to Starbucks.

That report said the former Arby’s closed in late 2025. It also quoted an unnamed Better Buzz Coffee employee as saying the Hesperia location could “hopefully be open in a few months.” The report said the timing was otherwise unknown.

The same report said the nearest existing Better Buzz Coffee café to the High Desert is in Upland.

What should readers keep in mind?

The Apple Valley location is announced through the company’s hiring page, but it is not yet a completed opening. The June 2026 timing is Better Buzz Coffee’s stated expectation, not a confirmed grand-opening date.

That distinction matters for local businesses and shoppers alike: a posted opening date signals planning and hiring, but it does not guarantee when the doors will actually open.

For now, the best-supported takeaway is that Better Buzz Coffee is expanding, and Apple Valley is one of the places where the company says it intends to operate next.
