BARSTOW, Calif., July 5 (High Desert News Online) — State fire officials did not publicly confirm a Nash Fire in the High Desert in CAL FIRE’s public incidents page, leaving reports that the blaze had burned 156 acres and reached 50% containment unverified.

The CAL FIRE incident listings did show other California wildfire activity. In one update, the agency said the Record Fire had grown to 650 acres and was 15% contained after minimal overnight growth helped crews make progress.

The Associated Press reported separate official containment updates on other Southern California fires, including the Line Fire at 36% containment and the Airport Fire at 19% containment.
