LAREDO, Texas, June 23 (Del Rio Online) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than 1,100 pounds of suspected methamphetamine at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo after stopping a commercial truck carrying a shipment listed as polypropylene, the agency said.

CBP said an officer referred a 2013 D-13 Volvo for secondary inspection on June 15. A canine inspection and a nonintrusive inspection system examination led officers to 1,100.79 pounds of suspected methamphetamine inside the commodity, according to the agency.

CBP said the drugs carried a street value of $10,122,012. The agency seized the narcotics and said Homeland Security Investigations special agents are investigating.

CBP did not say whether anyone was arrested or charged.
