DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Highlights: Chevrolet has introduced the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, added new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, and said the truck will go on sale later this year with pricing to be announced later.

Chevrolet said in a June 16 newsroom release that the pickup is the “most powerful Silverado ever,” marking a fresh update for one of the company’s best-known trucks.

The 2027 Silverado 1500 will continue to offer four powertrain choices, Chevrolet said: the new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, the enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel.

Chevrolet also said the new model now offers the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 engine in its class. The company did not publish horsepower or torque figures in the release.

Inside, every 2027 Silverado 1500 will come with a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center, according to Chevrolet. ZR2 and High Country trims add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a head-up display and rear camera mirror.

Chevrolet said the truck will be available in seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT. Pricing and full ordering details are expected later this year.
