SEATTLE, May 30 — Giantex is recalling about 1,155 outdoor lounge chairs sold online nationwide after a reported finger amputation tied to the chair’s adjustment feature, according to recall reports citing federal safety officials.

The recall affects customers who bought the chairs on Amazon.com or Giantex.com between August 2023 and October 2025. The products sold for $75 to $90, according to reports from Fox Business, KIRO and LiveNow Fox.

The recall applies nationwide, including to online buyers in Hesperia and elsewhere in California.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the chairs can create an amputation risk because consumers can place their fingers in a pinch point while adjusting the lounge chair, according to Fox Business and LiveNow Fox.

The company received one report of a consumer’s finger being amputated while the chair was being adjusted, according to multiple reports.

The recalled product is Giantex model number NP10025NY. The model number is printed on the front and side of the product packaging.

The chairs are blue and measure 76 inches long, 23 inches wide and 13 inches high. They have a five-position adjustable locking system, and Fox Business, citing the CPSC, reported that the backrest height can be adjusted from 13.5 inches to 26.5 inches.

Consumers are being told to stop using the recalled chairs immediately and contact Giantex for a refund.

Recall instructions reported by Fox Business, KIRO and LiveNow Fox say consumers may be asked to request a prepaid return package or destroy the chair by detaching the headrest pillow, cutting the fabric and providing photographic proof of destruction.

KIRO, WFTV and WSB-TV reported that consumers can contact Giantex by phone at 844-242-1885, by email or online. The reports did not list the email address or website in the available recall snippets.

Fox Business reported that the chairs were manufactured in China.
