Hesperia, California (Our Hesperia) – The Hesperia Unified School District (HUSD) will host its annual iExpo event on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Sultana High School, giving local students from kindergarten through 12th grade the chance to demonstrate innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. This year’s theme, “Pi Day,” will tie each event to the famous mathematical constant that represents both precision and endless discovery—values fitting for a district focused on excellence and opportunity.

Hesperia Unified School District’s annual iExpo has become a cornerstone of local academic and creative excellence, drawing hundreds of students, families, and teachers to celebrate hands-on learning and teamwork. Scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Sultana High School, the event will begin with check-in at 8:00 a.m. and competitions kicking off at 9:00 a.m.

Open to all HUSD students in grades K–12, iExpo challenges young participants to showcase their talents across diverse fields. Elementary competitions will include art, coding, engineering, improvisation, and speech and debate, while middle and high school students will compete in art and culinary categories.

New to this year’s program is a fashion design competition, inviting students to conceptualize and create original outfits—encouraging a blend of creativity, resourcefulness, and craftsmanship rarely seen in traditional academic events.

Returning crowd favorites include racebots and battle bots, two robotics-based contests that let students test their skills in mechanical design and programming. Also continuing its strong tradition is the iCan Film Festival, where student filmmakers premiere short works crafted during the school year.

After events conclude, HUSD staff will tabulate results before hosting an awards ceremony at approximately 12:00 p.m. First-place winners will receive prizes donated by Horace Mann Insurance.

The iExpo tradition dates back more than a decade, designed to inspire students to pursue science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) fields through friendly competition and community engagement. Each year, the event attracts growing interest from local families who take pride in seeing Hesperia’s youth explore their potential in both creative and technical disciplines.

The Hesperia Unified School District, whose motto is “Preparing Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s World,” continues to highlight these academic showcases as examples of how local public education can build strong character, civic pride, and skills for life beyond the classroom.
